Our Development Agenda

Wilton United park / Pat Bowden park

Wilton United has recently acquired land in Garrane Darra (now Wilton United Park), which will be our new home in the heart of the community it serves. This exciting development will now allow the Club to maximise its growth potential, meeting the demands of Football in the area, especially amongst young boys and girls.ย

Phase 1 โ€“ Wilton United Park

A new grass pitch, refurbished dressing rooms and an all-weather astro training area with floodlights.

Phase 1 involved a huge effort by club volunteers and significant monetary investment to restore the grounds to be fit for sporting use after many years of disuse and dereliction, captured by our before & after Images below.

Phase 1 โ€“ Pat Bowdren Park
We continue to operate from and invest in Pat Bowdren Park. Included in our Phase 1 plans, related monetary investment and fundraising initiatives, are the following specific developments:

– First year of a 3-year plan to improve the quality of both pitches to the next level.
– To the surround Pitch 1 with fencing
– To renew & upgrade equipment, specifically, new goals, nets, and high ball netting.

Phase 2 & subsequent phases โ€“ Wilton United Park
The club also has exciting and ambitious plans to develop a full-size all-weather pitch at Wilton United Park. This would be a game-changer for the club and will provide a modern facility that the club needs to cater for the massive increase in membership in recent years.

The medium to long term plans captured below are still under review & possible expansion.

Exciting times & a Bright future guaranteed!!
